Opening Weekend Sept. 14/15, 2024
Apples are a superior health food, and have been described by some scientists as one of the healthiest foods in the world. They are low in calories but high in fiber, and are packed with antioxidants and micronutrients.
Apples have been linked to managing asthma and respiratory health, preventing Alzheimer’s, managing weight gain, and improving cardiovascular health. Because of their antioxidants, organic apples have also been linked to cancer prevention, particularly for colon, breast, liver, and lung cancers. They have also been linked to improving eyesight and to preventing premature aging by improving circulation throughout the body.
These healthy benefits can be attributed to the rich nutrient profile found in organic apples and their skins, including Vitamin C, B-complex vitamins that are important to maintaining the nervous system, dietary fiber, and phytonutrients that protect the body from potential damage caused by free radicals.
